Forty six and 2!

I am working on my own version of Forty six and 2 by Tool. It will be an all guitar version though. I have no bass of my own and I am as rich of money as a sigarett is good for you. That means NADA!
But it doesn't stop me! I'll try as hard as I can and we'll see:)

My band's born!

What  do you think?

Good Morning!

Today I am finnishing my best week so far in school. EVER!  All this week I have played bass and guitar or been doing some drama, only with awesome people! Today we are going to dance the entire day. Probably Swing, since my teacher is norwegian chanpion at it. (I don't know if the quality of norweian swing is as good as for example american, but I doubt it.) I still have the song Seven Nation army by The White Stripes stuck in my head, and hopefully we'll play it today just to finish the week whit style. Next week it's back to normal:(

How has your week been?

OMG! This song is killing me!!!!!

This song is just to cool to be true!!!!! I have played it all day with some friends at school and I just can't get enough of it!

Anti-wrinkle creams!

Hyah!
I was looking at The Event one evening, (awesome series, bye the way) and then there was a commercial break. I hate commercial breaks! And I look at norwegian TV. When I look at American Tv-shows I see when the original commercial breaks are supposed to be, and I think; "Sheit!!!! There is more commercial than the actual show."  There was all these usual commercials. Skinny women in weird clothes presenting the fashion of today (even though it looks just like it did in the eightees). Well, you know, the usual. Cheese. Soda. McDonalds.

Then there was a sudden flash over the screen. A middel-aged woman smiled a fake smile. She couldn't smile! Her face was ruined by Botox. You could almost see the needle-marks! The she said; "Just because the years go by, doesn't mean that I can't look like I did ten years ago!"
Obviously the entire point beeing that an Anti-Wrinkle cream made you look ten years younger.
I wonder if this makes me look like I am five? I don't really think that would be so awesome:)
Personally I don't think that this chick looks like she's feeling to good from the cream. Honestly,  it looks like she's been buttered with toxic waste.

My cat, Buster, is five years old today! (Buster as in BusterRocks. That's why I came to think of the blod:3) He got some nice fish and relaxed all day (as allways). Then he got stuck in my guitar! I was changing strings and he jumped into it. Then he couldn't get out again. IQ!!!!!!!! Well, beauty before brains.

What have you been doing lately?

In memory of Paul Gray!

Paul Gray, the bassist of Slipknot was found dead a couple of days ago. May he rest in peace!

At the same time I have good news. Tool is going back in studio to record the follow-up album to the 2006 album 10 000 days. And Trent Reznor and his wife Mariqueen has finally realesed a single from their new project How to Destroy Angels. Check that out on YouTube or on www.howtodestroyangels.com. It is called The Drowning and sounds a little bit like NIN with a female singer. With other words: Awesome!

Laying in my hammock, listening to Incubus!

Feel the summer! Even in Norway the summer has began. A little early, maybe. It is only a week since it was snowing and really cold. Now it is twenty degrees celcius and sun! We had a little thunder-storm yesterday, but it wasn't anything to worry about.
Now, "Favourite Things" by Incubus is playing on my Ipod and I have made myself a milkshake.

How is your day? And what is your favourite summer-music?

Me and my friend Vic in Nice:)
By the way I've got to congrat my friend Therese. She confirmed her baptising yesterday! She is now an adult lady! Congratulations Thessa!

Anyone heard the new Melissa Auf Der Maur album?

I am wondering???? Is it as bad as the critics say? I heard some of the songs from the EP and it didn't sound that bad.

50 000 drunk hungarians! And me and Grandma.

I know I am not the best blogger. I have had a lot to do lately. First I was on a school-trip to Nice. Learning to speak French:) I came home two days before my big party. In Norway you confirm your baptising. It is called confirmation. It is like Bat Mitza or the catholic Comunion. I was "confirmed" on saturday. Not christian, though. Anyway, for this party I got a trip to Budapest in Hungary from my grandmother. I allso got tickets for a Metallica-concert! Me and my grandmother went to this concert, in Hungary. I am from Norway and in Norway it is not an ordinary thing to have 50 000 people go to a concert, so to me it was sick!! 50 000 drunk hungarians and me and grandma! Fantastic! And Metallica was great. They played only heavy stuff except from "Nothing Else Matters".

It  must be awesome to have 50 000 people sing a song you've written. It is a beautifull song!

Have you ever seen Metallica live? And what do you think about them?

Addicted to Incubus

A week ago I bought "A Crow left of the Murder (2004)" by "Incubus". I am addicted. It is an amazing album! Their style here is more jazzy on this one. For example on a song called "Zee Deevel" guitarist Mike Einziger really play a fantastic riff. The song makes you feel cool, nice song to have on those lousy days where everything goes wrong. The album has many of the same emotions through the album wich really ties the album together. And look at the album artwork!
Beautiful!!!!!!

They are amazing!

Hihihi!

Happy easter!

Congratulations people! I am starting on my huge easter egg even though you are not supposed to eat it or even find it before the real easter day. The nicest about easter is vacation! I wright an easter crime short story. A tradition in Norway. Agatha Christie is never as popular as during easter.

What crime novelles do you read, if you read any?

Here I am! Alive and kicking!

After a week in Spain I am back in freezing cold Norway. Because my Ipod was stolen I am using a smaller Ipod (8GB) and that is just fine, but there is not enough place for more than a fifth of the music I used to have on my old Ipod. It is SO frustating!

Anyway... I have bought a cowboy straw hat, a T-shirt and darn lot chocolate on my trip and now I am making a rock-version of an old norwegian folk song called "Kjerringa med staven" wich means something like "The old, ugly woman with a stick". Not a very good transaltion but it means pretty much the same. Because of that, my fingers bleed. I felt bad after not bringing my guitar on holiday, so I have played for six hours straight now. And my fingers doesn't manage as much as they usually do after a week without practice.

Have a nice weekend!

True men don't kill coyotes!

Yes that is right!

At least in Norway today, March 8th, is womens day! You go girl!!!!

The recipe for success!

Lately I have been reading a lot of blogs here on blogspot and it turns out that the majority of blogs are about families. (You know: Harris Family, Navy Wife. Bloggin Mom) I used to think that this was a little... stupid, maybe. I never understood why a forthy year old working mother would like to share that her youngest son doesn't know how to use a potty chair and that it is a pain because he is elleven years old!(Is that something to be proud of! And think about elleven year old Hank who constantly wets himself when his school mates find out. Poor Hank!) But I have nothing to say, because, you know what?

These blogs got followers! And readers! A luxury I seriously don't have. I have two followers, and considering that one of them is myself and the other one of my best friends, I must see myself beaten.

So, If you read this and is not Therese (even though it's not likely) FOLLOW ME! I have got to get more followers than The Harris family (14, I am not kidding! 14 people wake up every morning thinking: Oh my God! How is Cilla doing today? Is she wearing that lovely pink skirt? How cool is that?! How many people wake up thinking: What sort of bullshit has Jules written on her blog today? I think none:)

But I have found the recipy for succes! These are the things you need if you want to be a succesfull blogger:

  • You must be married to a navy-guy.
  • You must have two or more kids. They should be boys and in the age beetween three and eight years old. A dog is allso nice.
  • You should be into stamping. And your stamps should be cute or with messages like "Peace, faith and love!" Stuff like that.
  • You LOVE your husband! Even though he is mostly in Iraq or Afganistan most of the year and you have to take care of your two or three kids and dog alone. And the dog eats the neighbors rabbits so your neighbors sue you and win in court and now you have no money to pay for your sons soccer practice and they hate you for it.
  •  You are american! And you are very proud of it.
  • You live in the suburbs. In a beautifull huge house with fitted carpets in deep red or green.

I am none of these things and that is why I have NO readers:)

Skiing!!!! I love it!

A Friend of mine (Therese, greeneyedfunsome.blogg.no.) took this picture on our trip to Trysil with school. Trysil is Norway's biggest skiing opportunity. Here is Ane (way left) Me (in the middle) and Eiril (way right) on the buss on our way home.

My favourite songs to listen to before skiing:
*Almost over (Limp Bizkit, Results may vary, 2003)
*Alive (Pearl Jam, Ten, 1991)
*Californication (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Californication, 1999)
*The Outsider (A Perfect Circle, Thirteenth step,2003)
*Pardon Me (Incubus, Make yourself,1999)
*Rusted From The Rain (Billy Talent, Billy Talent III, 2009)
*Echoplex (Nine Inch Nails, The Slip, 2008)
*Queen B (Puscifer, V is For Vagina, 2007)

I can live:

  • Three weeks without food
  • Three days without water
  • Three minutes without air
  • And three seconds without some sort of music.
The last week, after my Ipod was stolen, I have slowly been turning into a zombie. To me, music is the reason to live. You know: "What's the meaning with life?" and stuff like that. I have turned into a real ASS the latest week. I am going to flip, very soon... The mad hatter would be completely sane compared to me! Next week I will turn up at school, beliving I am one of Lady Gaga's many incredibly ugly and insanely impractical hats

I am going to believe that I am this stupid withered Christmas tree-like hat.

 SNAP!*

How to comment on my blog:)

It's not hard, just stupid! When you comment you choose name/URL in the box where it says "comment as:", or something. I guess you are smart enough to understand when you see.

Why I am NOT a psycho!

It is quite simpel. Lunatics listen to easy listening music! And now for my astonishing evidence! Check out Bush's Fav Five!

Let's just say that when Ted Bundy had killed his last victim he said "Ops I did it again!"

My dearly beloved Ipod!

My Ipod was stolen last Tuesday and I got really EMO because of that! That's why I haven't written anything here for a wile, but I figured that my (mind-blowing amount of) readers wouldn't care. And I was right:) But I thought I was going to write something today, just to keep up. (Even though this is obviously just for show and for tricking myself into beliving that I am important even though I have a really little life and that little life I have is mostly about doing nerdy things like reading Anthony Kiedis' autobiography "Scar Tissue" for the fifth time or coaming Buster, who  annoyingly is trying to sleep on the keyboard as I write.)

Welcome Josh! Josh Klinghoffer (Left) is  replacing John Frusciante (Right) in RHCP.Welcome to Josh and Good bye to John!

2. Browse through it wile counting five.
3. Use the first sentence in the SMS to answer the questions below.
Repeat this on every question:)

Thanks to you as well, sweetheart.

What is your best pick-up line?
On my way home now. So you will have to hurry and clean up!

What do you answer when your boyfriend ask if you want to marry him?

On my way, leaving grandma's house now.

What do you say for your deffence?

Ok, good luck!

A real treat...

Spooky, huh?

We have an assignement in the subject "Norvegian" at school (it would be the same as English in England or Français in France) to write a scary story. My story is named "The Devil and His Great Grandmother" after a norvegian saying. I am going to share it with you, as soon as I have translated it. Then I will post it here on BusterRocks!. It happens in france, bye the way... (Of course! Who is more spooky than the french and their frogs...)

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Wel, another week has past... And next week will be pretty much the same as this one.

And now a little musical treat. Melissa Auf der Maur is a really good female basist and her album "Auf der Maur" (2004) sounds at first like not the typical light rock album and is interesting, but one thing is quite obvious, she is not a genius writer... Her lyrics is not great, but you forget that because of the really cool guitar and the different ways she plays. It is not what you would expect at all times. But still she it sound like she is AMERICAN, even though she is canadian. Even though it is the neighbour country I could wish she did not sound as american as she does. Because we have all heard that! She allso speaks french and has lived in Kenya. So I really dont get why it is as american as it gets. Still: that girl can play! She was briefly also a member of "Smashing Pumpkins" and "Hole" and you earn respect from that I guess.

Listen to:

Lightning is my girl (Auf der Maur, 2004)

Followed the Waves (Auf der Maur, 2004)

My Foggy Notion (Auf der Maur, 2004)

Sorry, I have only got that one album.

My school arange a talent show every year, it is like Idol just with amateurs. I played my cover of Tools "Rosetta Stoned". All the judges where R&B-loving, The Voice-listening teenagers who never ever in their entire life has heard a song other than hits, and they thought I was good:) Now the ony thing left is to win the entire thing (You're right! Like that's ever going to happen!).

This is how the jugdes will look when I sing, NOT!

And by the way: Simon! You believe you are a musical genius, but let me tell you one thing! Westlife is FAR FROM genius, and nothing to brag about finding...

Space!!

I have got a big test tomorrow, about space. You know: who came first? And all that. If you really want to know, the first living being in space was the sovjet dog Laika. The first person, allso from sovjet, Jurij Gagarin. Let's hear it for them!! Especially Laika, poor thing died out there...

To build a house you need nails, nine inch nails.

I guess everyone knows that Nine Inch Nails vocalist (really he IS the band) Trent Reznor said earlier this year that there would be no more Nine Inch concerts EVER! And I respect that, at least understand it. That entire thing about stopping when you are on top is really ok, but please mister Reznor (!) you would have managed to stay on top for just a coupple more years, so I could see just one more Nine Inch Nails show. Last time was three years ago, I was 12. I did not understand how much I should have valued that time. Please! One more show! In Norway... Okey now I am begining to ask big, but please!

I'm such a big fan!

Nighty Night!

I would like to say good night by recomending the most obvious cd to listen to when going to bed: Lullabies to Paralyze, by Queens of the Stone Age:) The cd recorded in 2005 is perfect (thought mostly because of its name) for sleepless nights. Not that I recomend not sleeping, but it is a good record. with songs like "Tangled Up In Pain", "Burn The Witch" and "Someone's In The Wolf".

Regular Members:

Josh Homme (vokal, gitar)

O brother where art thou!?

Right now I am supposed to practice my guitar, but guess who woke up at the exact moment I played the first chord! My little brother, Kurt! His name is really Aslak but I think Kurt is nicer so I call him that. Say hello, Kurt! Anyway, he is happy as long as he sits on my lap and he actually find Audioslave quite cool. He is headbanging right now! Which I find super sweet. Not everyone learnes to headbang before they can talk! Or is born with a mohawk! My brother is the coolest nine month baby in the entire world!

Hope your is just as cool as mine:)

Noooooooooooo!

This week began with horrible news! John Frusciante, guitarist of my favourite band "Red Hot Chili Peppers", is leaving the band. He says he has got to follow his own creativity and that there was no arguing involved, but still: IT HURTS! he left the band after his second album with the band "Blood Sugar Sex Magic" in 1992 as well but came back after seven years and released the album "Californication" in 1999, but I sense that he will not come back now! JOHN YOU ARE THE BEST! HOPEFULLY MORE GREAT MUSIC WILL COME FROM YOUR HEAD IN THE FUTURE. BUT WE WILL MISS YOU! A LOT!
