A real treat...

Spooky, huh?

We have an assignement in the subject "Norvegian" at school (it would be the same as English in England or Français in France) to write a scary story. My story is named "The Devil and His Great Grandmother" after a norvegian saying. I am going to share it with you, as soon as I have translated it. Then I will post it here on BusterRocks!. It happens in france, bye the way... (Of course! Who is more spooky than the french and their frogs...)

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Wel, another week has past... And next week will be pretty much the same as this one.

And now a little musical treat. Melissa Auf der Maur is a really good female basist and her album "Auf der Maur" (2004) sounds at first like not the typical light rock album and is interesting, but one thing is quite obvious, she is not a genius writer... Her lyrics is not great, but you forget that because of the really cool guitar and the different ways she plays. It is not what you would expect at all times. But still she it sound like she is AMERICAN, even though she is canadian. Even though it is the neighbour country I could wish she did not sound as american as she does. Because we have all heard that! She allso speaks french and has lived in Kenya. So I really dont get why it is as american as it gets. Still: that girl can play! She was briefly also a member of "Smashing Pumpkins" and "Hole" and you earn respect from that I guess.

Listen to:

Lightning is my girl (Auf der Maur, 2004)

Followed the Waves (Auf der Maur, 2004)

My Foggy Notion (Auf der Maur, 2004)

Sorry, I have only got that one album.

Hell yes!!!

I am in the finals:)!!!!!!

My school arange a talent show every year, it is like Idol just with amateurs. I played my cover of Tools "Rosetta Stoned". All the judges where R&B-loving, The Voice-listening teenagers who never ever in their entire life has heard a song other than hits, and they thought I was good:) Now the ony thing left is to win the entire thing (You're right! Like that's ever going to happen!).

This is how the jugdes will look when I sing, NOT!

And by the way: Simon! You believe you are a musical genius, but let me tell you one thing! Westlife is FAR FROM genius, and nothing to brag about finding...

I have got a big test tomorrow, about space. You know: who came first? And all that. If you really want to know, the first living being in space was the sovjet dog Laika. The first person, allso from sovjet, Jurij Gagarin. Let's hear it for them!! Especially Laika, poor thing died out there...

To build a house you need nails, nine inch nails.

I guess everyone knows that Nine Inch Nails vocalist (really he IS the band) Trent Reznor said earlier this year that there would be no more Nine Inch concerts EVER! And I respect that, at least understand it. That entire thing about stopping when you are on top is really ok, but please mister Reznor (!) you would have managed to stay on top for just a coupple more years, so I could see just one more Nine Inch Nails show. Last time was three years ago, I was 12. I did not understand how much I should have valued that time. Please! One more show! In Norway... Okey now I am begining to ask big, but please!

I'm such a big fan!

Nighty Night!

I would like to say good night by recomending the most obvious cd to listen to when going to bed: Lullabies to Paralyze, by Queens of the Stone Age:) The cd recorded in 2005 is perfect (thought mostly because of its name) for sleepless nights. Not that I recomend not sleeping, but it is a good record. with songs like "Tangled Up In Pain", "Burn The Witch" and "Someone's In The Wolf".

Regular Members:

Josh Homme (vokal, gitar)

Troy Van Leeuwen (gitar, lap steel, keyboard)

Joey Castillo (trommer)

Dean Fertita (keyboard, gitar)

Michael Schuman (bass)

Listen to:

No One Knows (Song For The Deaf, )

Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret (Rated R, 2000)

And all songs mentioned above:) It's a nice way to start.

O brother where art thou!?

Right now I am supposed to practice my guitar, but guess who woke up at the exact moment I played the first chord! My little brother, Kurt! His name is really Aslak but I think Kurt is nicer so I call him that. Say hello, Kurt! Anyway, he is happy as long as he sits on my lap and he actually find Audioslave quite cool. He is headbanging right now! Which I find super sweet. Not everyone learnes to headbang before they can talk! Or is born with a mohawk! My brother is the coolest nine month baby in the entire world!

Hope your is just as cool as mine:)

Noooooooooooo!

This week began with horrible news! John Frusciante, guitarist of my favourite band "Red Hot Chili Peppers", is leaving the band. He says he has got to follow his own creativity and that there was no arguing involved, but still: IT HURTS! he left the band after his second album with the band "Blood Sugar Sex Magic" in 1992 as well but came back after seven years and released the album "Californication" in 1999, but I sense that he will not come back now! JOHN YOU ARE THE BEST! HOPEFULLY MORE GREAT MUSIC WILL COME FROM YOUR HEAD IN THE FUTURE. BUT WE WILL MISS YOU! A LOT!
